Fun facts about Australia

What's the difference between a lifesaver and lifeguard?

There is a lot of confusion over the difference between a lifeguard and a lifesaver. You see them around on the beaches all the time, and they keep us save so we probably should learn the difference between them.

In Australia, surf lifesavers are trained volunteers who patrol beaches during peak season. Lifeguards, however, are paid professionals who provide beach safety services.
