French Gallic Rooster Poster Art

The French Gallic Rooster Print is inspired by our Explore France flashcard collection! The illustration uses clean, minimalistic lines with beautiful colours reflective of an authentic Rooster.

The Gallic Rooster is an unofficial national symbol of France as a nation since the middle ages (14th century)! It's also the symbol of the Wallonia region and the French Community of Belgium. The Gallic Rooster decorated the French flags during the revolution, symbolising the French people with its unique play on words. The Latin word for cock (Rooster) is gallus and the inhabitants of "Gaul" (gallicus) which is known today as France. The mix of words created the Gallic Rooster. It was used significantly as a way to represent their loyalty to Gaul - or "France".

This poster is available with a white or aqua background. Celebrate your strong culture and commitment to the France nation if you are a French person yourself or admire the loyalty of the country as a tourist by hanging up one of their most iconic symbols on your walls.

Epson Ultra Premium Luster Photo Paper is in between a gloss and matte finish, providing you with highly saturated, maximum ink coverage. Because of its saturation and resistance to fingerprints, lustre paper is a popular choice for photographic prints.
